FAO Year 11 pupils and parents.
We now have further information regarding the upcoming Numeracy and Mathematics GCSE examinations.
Track and trace have confirmed to the school that pupils that are currently isolated due to the positive case of Covid-19 in year 11, are able to come back into school on Thursday 5th November.
This is the date of the second numeracy examination, and we have now been able to confirm with the WJEC that pupils sitting this second exam will be eligible for special consideration. The numeracy grade will therefore be awarded on the result of the second exam only.
The Mathematics GCSE examination is unaffected as the date of sitting is in the following week.
The school would therefore encourage pupils to prepare for both the Numeracy and Mathematics examinations as before.
If you require further information, please do not hesitate to contact myself or the school via email.
