We have received information today from the Local Education Authority stating that –
Following discussions with Welsh Government officials, it has been decided that all Neath Port Talbot schools will suspend face to face learning until Monday, January 11th.
What does this mean for Cefn Saeson?
We will continue with our Inset on the 4th and Build-up days on the 5th and 6th of January. Remote learning will commence for all pupils on Thursday 7th January. The school will be open for Identified Vulnerable Learners and as emergency childcare for children of ‘Key Workers’ from the 7th. We will communicate with these families on Monday the 4th to agree a way forward.
It is possible, given the fast-changing events and Covid announcements, that face to face learning, may be further delayed beyond Monday the 11th and that a phased return is needed. As soon as I am made aware of decisions, I will let you know.
Finally, I would like to reiterate that at Cefn Saeson, we will do whatever is necessary to make school as safe as possible. We will continue to put pupils and safety first. I know things are very difficult at the moment , but we need to stick together, follow all guidelines and keep everyone safe.
I wish everyone a Happy New Year in the knowledge that 2021 will be a much better year!
