SCHOOL CLOSURE MONDAY 5TH JANUARY 2026

Dear Parents and Carers,

Happy New Year/Blwyddyn Newydd Dda!

Our school site has been assessed throughout today and our site team have worked tirelessly to try and get it to a point of being safe for tomorrow. However, it is still very icy and the predicted snowfall in the area overnight as well as further freeze makes it too dangerous to open. I therefore regret to inform you that school will be closed for all pupils tomorrow.

This decision has not been taken lightly and the safety of our students, parents/carers and staff is our highest priority. All students are asked not to travel to school. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will provide an update regarding reopening on Tuesday as soon as further information is available. Please check your Class Charts and the school website for these official updates.

Throughout tomorrow, staff will be using the time to prepare online learning for potential future snow days to ensure that we can still maximise pupil learning and progress if there are any repeat closures. Parents/carers can promote study time throughout tomorrow and support their child/children’s preparations for the term ahead.
