Dear Parent/ Guardian,
I am pleased to inform you that I have confirmed the dates for Cefn Saeson’s annual Christmas cinema and shopping trip to McArthur Glen Designer Outlet Village in Bridgend. This trip has become a tradition in our build up to the festive season and many of our pupils look forward to attending every year.
The trip will be leaving school at 9am on Tuesday 17th December and we will be returning in time for the end of the school day. The trip will include return coach transfers from the shopping village and entry into the Odeon cinema to see the new release film Last Christmas. Pupils will be going in to see the film at 10am and they will have some free time to pick up some lunch and have a look around the shops following the film. Please note that pupils will need to purchase their own lunch from the food court. Pupils who are eligible for a free school lunch can have a packed lunch. (They will need to inform me in person if they wish to have a packed lunch)
The cost per pupil for this trip is £10.50. This is always a very popular trip and there are a limited number of places. To secure a place on the trip we will need a returned SV2 form and full payment of the £10.50. Please note that a place on the trip is not reserved until the deposit has been paid. Returning the SV2 to school is simply an expression of interest. Your place will only be confirmed on full payment.
All monies will need to be paid via Parent Pay. To start the process of reserving a place on the trip you will need to complete the following steps:
1. Return a completed SV2 form to the main office in the school.
2. You will then be assigned a place for the trip on Parent Pay (please note that all pupils who return an SV2 will be assigned a slot on Parent Pay)
3. Payments of £10.50 will need to be paid online or via a barcode letter which can be printed out in the main office. (If you use the barcode letter please send in the receipt with your child straight away so that we can reserve their place on the trip. It can take several days for our system to update for payments made using this method and we need to keep our figures accurate)
You need to be aware that if you pay for a space on the trip and later wish to withdraw you will not be able to have the money returned unless there is another pupil willing to fill the space.
This trip has been a huge success over the past 3 years and this has been due to the exemplary behaviour of the pupils whilst we are in McArthur Glen. I very much intend for this to continue this year. Any pupils who sign up for the trip and do not maintain this high level of behaviour in the run up to the trip will run the risk of losing their place. Pupils who have been excluded or are on report cards will not be eligible for the trip at this time.
If you have any queries about the trip please do not hesitate to contact me in the school.
